Hosted PBX / IP Centrex

Hosted PBX or Hosted Phone systems, sometimes referred to as IP Centrex, are a hosted replacement for the traditional box on the wall PBX phone systems without the cost of system purchase and maintenance and which can scale from two phones to hundreds. With a Hosted PBX system, each phone has a dedicated phone number which can be dialed directly but has a low cost extension fee. Traditional phone line costs are limited to the number of active calls outside of the business group. This model allows you to put a direct access phone on every desk or station at a lower cost and pay for lines based on expected concurrent calls.

Phone features include programmable buttons, call hold, call park, line monitoring, speed dial, paging, speakerphone, headset support, and more.

With a hosted phone system, you can choose shared, individual, or any combination of voicemail accounts to suit your needs. Auto Attendant menus, dial by name, time of day routing or routing based on caller ID are all possible and managed through an easy to use web page. Paging systems and external ringers are also available. Hosted phone systems can even be shared across multiple office locations in the same serving area allowing for inter-office calling without tying up any external lines. Scale your business up or down by changing the line count without adding or removing phone numbers and without changing hardware on the wall.

Lease and purchase options are available. Typical costs include the IP telephones, wiring and installation, and basic training. Standard monthly charges apply per line, per extension, and per advanced features such as a dedicated line for auto attendant menu based routing.

IP PBX / Local IP Phone System

An IP PBX is a modern equivalent to the traditional ‘on the wall’ PBX system. The phone system resides at your business location but takes up far less space and offers far more features than traditional systems. With an IP PBX, you use internal extensions for all local phones along with a number of external lines required to handle all of your inbound and outbound calls. An IP PBX system also includes options for voicemail, call hold and transfer, menu based routing and other features. The IP PBX can be connected to outside lines via standard analog phone lines, a T1 interface, or even a SIP trunk.

Phone features include programmable buttons, call hold, call park, line monitoring, speed dial, paging, speakerphone, headset support, and more.

Multiline Business Phones

For those needing a more basic feature set and limited outside lines, Emery Telcom offers AT&T multiline business phones which use standard analog phone line inputs but connect to each other for internal transfers, call hold, line state monitoring, and even auto attendant menus and voicemail.

PRI / DID

Primary Rate Interface (PRI) services allow you to route calls for a large number of publicly dial-able extensions to a limited number of physical lines to your phone system in order to save money. With a PRI, you pay for the telephone numbers as low cost Direct Inward Dial (DID) extensions and all calls between our telephone switch and your local system are sent on a shared PRI with up to 23 concurrent calls plus a data channel for caller ID and call waiting information. Emery Telcom offers full (23) and partial PRI services allowing you to pay for just what you need.

SIP Trunk

For added flexibility and compatibility with modern customer owned phone systems, Emery Telcom is happy to offer SIP Trunks as an alternative to traditional analog lines into your local phone system. A SIP Trunk allows a single, IP based connection between your phone system and our telephone switch. Calls are routed on this IP connection rather than analog lines, allowing you added flexibility of where to locate your phone system and even to use a single phone system for multiple office locations in cases where you’re using IP phones and a VPN connection between offices. SIP Trunk is not an alternative to telephone lines but is an alternate means of delivering the service.
