Long Distance

Staying in touch with your loved ones has never been easier. Long distance calling is only 4.95 cents per minute Nationwide. A monthly fee of $4.95 applies. Unlimited Nationwide long distance calling is also available for $44.95 per month. Purchase packages of 200 minutes for only 3.95¢ per minute. Contact us for additional details.

Universal Service Programs

The FCC, Emery Telcom and its affiliate companies are committed to the goal of Universal Service for the residents of Carbon County, Emery County and Hanksville. Universal Service is the promotion of quality telecommunication services at just, reasonable and affordable rates. Basic service includes:

• phone line providing single party, voice grade access to the public switched telephone network utilizing dual tone, multi-frequency signaling
• local usage on this phone line
• access to emergency services
• access to inter-exchange service
• access to directory assistance (additional charges per inquiry)
• toll limitation for qualifying low-income consumers

State & Federal Lifeline Assistance & Link-Up Programs

Customers may be eligible for reduced cost telephone service through State & Federal Lifeline Assistance and Link-Up programs. Lifeline Assistance provides eligible customers with significant ongoing monthly discounts and free optional toll limitation on their phone bills, while Link-Up helps eligible customers receive a 50% discount on installation of telephone service in their homes. Lifeline and Link-up are public programs implemented by Emery Telcom and its affiliated companies for all qualifying customers in their service areas of Carbon County, Emery County and Hanksville.

You may qualify for discount services if your household income is not more than 135% of the federal poverty income guidelines or if you participate in any of the following programs:
Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF); Food Stamps; Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program; Medicaid; Refugee Assistance; Supplemental Security Income; Federal Public Housing Assistance, including Section 8 Housing; National School Lunch Free Lunch Program; Head Start Program (income qualifying standard only); or Bureau of Indian Affairs Program (Tribal TANF, Head Start Subsidy, NSL). 1. Local 911 services have the caller's exact location when a caller calls from a landline due to your home phone's direct connection with the 911 network. Emergency services may not find you on a cell phone.
