Strawberry Topping
1 pound fresh strawberries, sliced
½ cup sugar
Cream
¾ cup heavy cream
8 oz. cream cheese, room temperature
1 Tbsp. sugar
Caramelized Pecans
3 Tbsp. butter
½ cup pecans, chopped
¼ cup brown sugar
Texas Toast
DIRECTIONS
In a medium bowl, slice strawberries and mix with ½ cup sugar let set. In food processor, or with a hand mixer, blend heavy cream, cream cheese and 1 tbsp. sugar until thick and creamy. Pre-heat griddle or skillet on medium heat. In a baking dish, whisk eggs, milk, vanilla and cinnamon. Melt 1 tsp. butter on griddle or skillet. Dip bread in egg mixture one at a time coating both sides. Place slices on hot griddle or skillet on medium heat cook until golden brown turning once. Meanwhile, in skillet over medium heat add all ingredients for the caramelized pecans. Stir until sugar has melted and pecans are coated and sticky. Serve French toast with a dollop of cream, sticky pecans and strawberries. So YUMMY and so worth it!
