Bedspring Chicken

½ cup margarine
3-4 chopped onions
3 tsp. thyme
3 Tbsp.  Chicken bullion
1 ½ lbs. fresh mushrooms
3 cut up fryers
3 cans cream of mushroom soup undiluted
8 strips bacon
3-4 bay leaves
6 soup cans of water
1 24-ounce package spiral noodles
 
1.     Brown chicken; place in Dutch oven intermingled with noodles
2.     Sauté onions, mushrooms in margarine, add thyme and bullion, pour over chicken and noodles
3.     Cover with three cans mushroom soup
4.     Lay bacon on top with bacon and bay leaves and water
5.     Cover and bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes
